I aren't completely sure who it is who writes your columns, and I would never presume to make an assumption so please forgive the lack of a personal title so far as to whom this letter was addressed. There is indeed one column in your newspaper in particular that has caught my eye over the past..well lets say weeks. Please allow me to introduce myself, My name is Quinn Grey, and I do without revocation consider myself a close friend and confidant of one Mr. Ace Koehler. Later in the evening, on one night about two week passed Mr Koehler happened upon my door step whilst my Husband was away on business. We had not talked in a little while and it was certainly a good chance to catch up.. to talk and converse over where our lives were in that small moment of time.. I was to learn that his partner was with child..multiples in fact..and that he had recently proposed.. He seemed complete.. content.. comfortable and indeed quite happy. Our conversation went well into the evening before he happened back on his way back to his home. Now this is where things become.. perhaps a little confusing.. could be told intriguing even. I have not heard from my friend now, in two weeks, and I find this a touch unusual. I happened upon his place of residence to offer my congratulations only to find his house had completely vanished. I hold a fear that something grave has happened, and I put a call out to your loyal readers that if anyone has any information, could they please send it via post. There is a reward offered and you are more than welcome to remain anonymous. Mr Koehler was a kind hearted man, selfless.. helpful.. and he was so excited to be a Father.. I simply wont believe that he has taken for the hills with so much anchoring him here to this town. I do not know of this Alice that you have interviewed, he did not happen to mention her.. Should you require more information don't hesitate to contact me further With thanks- Quinn Grey

Dear Lady Grey,
Oh My Lady, Color us Surprised when We received your letter this morning, it is quite the honor to know a Peer of the Realm reads our paper. Truly, my Lady, we are quite humbled that someone of your caliber and high esteem would take interest in our little paper! Please, do enjoy the box of chocolates we sent along, as a little thank you from all of us here.
Now, we come to the means of your letter here. We have actually been wondering where Mr. Koehler was as well, since one of our workers here is very good friends with him, and has not seen him in the last two weeks either. We have been wondering if he had left, because it is rare for anyone not to see him for so long, at least this is what I have gathered. Although, if recent stories are true Lady Gray, there may be a reason that no one has seen him.
Of course, I am sure that you have read our ‘rag’ column, My Lady? It is where we keep all the gossip, rumors, and general goings on’s of people of interest. If you request more Information about Mr. Koehler, it would be best then, if we put your inquiry there. As much as we would like to say our readers buy our papers for the sake of local news and important events, we do realize that a majority of our readers prefer the gossip column, but we all do enjoy a bit of gossip from time to time.
We will of course, without hesitation, run your story without question Lady Grey. We do so hope that we may be of any assistance to you, and that by running this letter, we are able to perhaps flush out some information about your friend. Might we ask what the Reward is, so that it can be properly listed, to encourage the responses that might not be forth coming otherwise?
As for a Miss Alice Cooper… I regret to inform you that she passed away in child birth, and unfortunately we have no information about the child, nor when Miss Cooper will be buried. We do have it on good standing though, that if the child survived, that Mr. Koehler was indeed the father. The two were indeed promised to be engaged, Miss Coopers two sisters, Amber and Ginger have confirmed it with us. We do hope this news has not upset you Lady Grey, we simply thought it would be kindest to tell you, so that you are aware of the situation.
We will, of course, run your question in the Rag. Of course when we receive the answers, we will naturally forward them to you by post, so that we might be able to bring you some peace about your friend. We wish you a very happy ending to your quest, Lady Grey, and we thank you for asking us to assist you in this!
Sincerely, Miss. E

Dear Miss E,
I thank you kindly for your speedy reply, I am indeed quite grateful. Do forgive me for not stating the reward in my earlier correspondence, I am indeed heavily pregnant and unfortunately my memory and mind are not as good as they perhaps should be.
The reward is a bit of a hard decision, as it will most certainly all depend on the information that was handed over and wether or not it can be easily vetted. Hmm.. perhaps I could put a little proposition to you. If the information from the general public was sent to your offices you could go through it and decide what if any is appropriate and helpful and then they could be passed onto me. I will of course pay for this service.
Should the information result in the procurement of Mr Koehler the reward would be handsome indeed, a substantial amount of gold. Anything else from sights of him.. to meetings.. anything would result in smaller bundles. I will leave it up to you to decide on what information gets to me, that is of course if you are willing to take up the job and work on my behalf.
I am sorry to hear about Alice, that is such terrible news. Do you happen to know what has happened to the child? I couldn't bare to think it has just ended up in some horrible group home somewhere.. The news of Ace being engaged to this Ms Cooper does not upset me.. or surprise so much. He was a kind gentleman, perhaps this was the woman he was referring to when he came to visit me. I don't recall a name after all.
Thanking you in advance
-QG

Dear Lady Grey,
As always, we do seek to please our readers, and even more so a Peer of the Land. It is quite alight to miss a thing or two, many of us have been pregnant before, we understand how hard it can be to keep things straight at times. If we might be so bold, Lady Quinn, but many of us here congratulate you and wish you a very happy and easy birth.
As to the option of the reward, we will be more than happy to assist you in this, Lady Grey. We do receive a bit of letters on the daily, so a few more will certainly be no problem, if anything it will give our girls something more to do before the day is done. If you like, we can also look into some of the claims for you, so that only the most serious and possibly true options are sent along to you? It should help make things a bit easier for you, My Lady, as well as let us narrow the field down a bit.
We will, of course, put in that a tidy sum of gold will be available, but only if Mr. Koehler is of course produced. This should help, at least a bit, on keeping a majority of the claims more true than not. We will leave the amount a bit vague though, if people think it is a large purse, they are more likely to share their information. We will send out some lines outside of town as well, in hopes that we might be able to find something outside of our area for you, since he may have left town?
As to Miss Cooper, we were indeed quite sad to hear of her passing, especially during what should be such a happy time. As to the child, I am afraid Lady Grey, that we do not know what has come of it yet. We know not name, nor sex, nor location of the child. All we do know, is that we received a letter in the mail much as we did from you, stating that Miss Cooper passed away in child birth. In truth, we do not know if the child even lives, but we are looking into it of course.
Now… Lady Grey, I am not quite sure how to tell you… The thing is… Is that Yes, he was Engaged to Miss Cooper from what we have been told, but he also Proposed to another woman here in town… Before Miss Cooper passed away, Mr. Koehler proposed on stage to a Miss MacDonald… Who was also Pregnant with his children, or so she claimed, since we cannot be sure of her… reliability… Though, we do have very reliable information that they were lost, if indeed they were Mr. Koehler’s. It was confirmed by the Local Doctor, as well as a couple of the nurses here, one of them my own daughter.
I do hope that we can find the answers you seek, Lady Grey, so that perhaps we can bring some ease to your pretty self. We will be in touch soon as we find out something for you, about Mr. Koehler. Until then, please do take care of yourself, Lady Grey. We here Wish you the Very Best!
Sincerely, Miss. E
