Princess
Sydel,
Please, read all of this before you throw it away or burn it though I wouldn’t hold it against you if you did just that the moment you saw my writing…
I’ve enchanted this letter to read itself to you in case you haven’t had a chance to come along much farther in your reading though for what it is worth I am beyond proud of you for how far you have come.
Back on track... I really need to see you. I won’t say I’m too proud to beg you because I will if that is what it takes. I will kneel on glass if you asked me to, anything you want me to do I’ll do it… I am not asking for a day, just an hour or two, and if you can’t stand it then I’ll take what ever I can get… It’s just incredibly important that we get a chance to talk… Please.. .
I am begging you…

..the letter was a shock.. it made her body feel cold and her stomach twist up in knots.. she felt a sickness flooding over her as if she were maybe a moment away from losing whatever it was she had eaten earlier on in the day.. she'd placed it down.. several times.. it took a grand amount of courage to finally sit and read it.. for any amount of healing that had occurred.. the stitches were now bursting.. the wound reopened.. though had it ever truly healed or even could it? ..she refused the enchantment.. she read the words.. though it took a little time to get her mind around some of them.. it left her feeling that shiver.. her shoulders raised.. her body once more quite tense.. she wanted to tear it up.. burn it.. pretend she never got it.. if she were of her right mind.. how she was before.. she would have done it in a heart beat.. she probably would have burnt it the moment she noticed his handwriting.. but..things were different now.. she was hurt.. she wasn't angry.. he hurt her.. more than she figures he would ever truly realise.. he got his fairy tale.. the one he always moaned about.. and where was she.. an option.. a consolation prize.. an after thought.. she thought it must be nice to be able to move on.. so easily.. so quickly.. it cheapened everything she had Ever been told.. all the promises..just how many times had he told her he would Never leave.. if she thought on it.. it echoed through her mind.. over and over.. like a broken record repeating.. he'd even said it to her in that bedroom on the surface.. right before they settled for their meal.. right before she and Gia reunited.. right before.. well.. she guessed she knew what those promises were worth .. her heart ached.. tightened.. the letter penned in return was not as scratchy as that first note was.. but not as smooth as someone who might have been writing their whole life..

I'm not sure what it is you think you need from me , I'm pretty sure you have taken it all already and I don't have much left to give.
I will be waiting in the graveyard at Sanctuary, if you don't recall where that is.. Ask your fiance..

Her bitter resentment was well justified and he took that on his back like the cross it was, he deserved it all and more, though he was unaware of it since they did not speak… Though perhaps if he did know that? More than anything he would want her to know he hadn’t moved on or quickly either… She was still always on his mind through the day and she haunted him like his own shadow, always there but hidden, a ghost he wasn’t sure he wanted to escape… When her letter came back he was truly, genuinely proud of what had happened for her, because even if she was suffering she was growing.
Sydel,
It’s not to take anything… It’s to give back…
I’ll see you very soon…

He remembered where that was incredibly easily. He’d been in Sanctuary when they first slept together, when their twisted romance started to grow into a gnarled black tree with bleeding hearts for fruit and bones for leaves…
A portal was asked for and given so he could step through into the long abandoned and rotted place that had once been a thriving metropolis…
