"She always does when ever her precious boy finds himself up the creek..." Yeah, so there might be some bitterness there, but who could blame him? She had let him die for fucks sake, didn't even care a whit, but Diovan found himself in trouble? Oh sure she could drag her lead out off of the dark there huh? Yeah... Some definite bitterness for sure. "Don't I always?" He said confidently when she said she hoped he could get to the bottom of it. He always did, it was his specialty, pulling tricks out of his ass. How had Sydel put it? He was the glue that held the family together... Well, that was a definite fact, cause if this was up to Diovan? They'd all be up the river without a paddle in a leaky ass canoe.
The touch to his cheek was precious though, Sydel was not an outwardly affectionate creature, so her rare touches, the signs of compassion were amazing... He treasured each and every one of them. When she confessed she thought she was going to die? He told her he would never let it get to that, he would always keep her safe, even if he take to take down death itself. Watching her smile, the cracked laugh, it was still much better than it had been... "Pretty much." He said back with his own grin and a laugh, pulling her in a little closer, holding her in his arms just a little more... Applying the balm to her lips, which he knew she'd usually tease him for, give him flack for it... He knew she needed it. She was roughed up, she'd not been this bad ever, not even after he himself had raped her for the sake of Aysil... He hated the fact it had been his own brother that did it too, parasite or not he couldn't quite forgive him, and he'd probably end up tearing him several new assholes before he felt better but... He'd get around to that ass beating later.
Speaking about Rose he had to make that quip, not exactly a tease but close, wondering about her reactions... thoughts. Her clap back was faster than lightning and it made him laugh, holding up his hand for a moment, shaking his head a touch. "Slow down love, slow down... Look, yes I am well aware of how absolutely batshit it would go, and that's why this is only a band-aid till I can find the proper way to fix it all. Though you should know that it doesn't make you weak to admit you actually like her. It might even be good for you to actually, you know, not hate another female. Especially one who our son is utterly enamoured with." After all, despite being as ill as Sydel had been, he knew for a fact if she hadn't liked Rose? She would have sent her packing and made him find someone else. "I'll head down to Naggoth myself if that's what I have to do to find out more information, barter with something, I don't know... But I'll do what I have to. I know it's important to you."
Well, at least he got something out of her, saying she admired her... That was a huge step in the right direction and he wasn't going to push it any farther than that. "Well, it's a start and a damn good one too." Though to say he hadn't already had the idea of Sydel and Rose just one day getting too much of each others pheromones and going to town... Yeah, he'd thought about it, and definitely saved it for later when he needed a bit of... Release... Because Bells was pregnant and he wasn't about to hurt her, Sydel he wouldn't touch for some time, just out of respect for her trauma... There was Garafin of course but unless it was a group orgy, they kept themselves entirely monogamous, so naturally that meant some nice hot baths and a bit of time with Rosy Palme and her five lovely sisters... He offered to take the pain from her though, to open that channel, that link they shared, to take the brunt of it off of her... She could say no and he'd respect it, but if she wasn't spasming in pain every time, her body had a better chance to heal and use that energy more efficiently... Her plea was instantly answered by a widening of that link, letting the pain wash into him, keeping it on his side... Outwardly he didn't give a hint to the pain, but on the inside oh yeah, he felt it... He wouldn't be up for a fight for a few hours at least but she was without pain so it was totally worth it to him.
They got to a serious point though, Bells had given him a lot to think about, a lot of things settling on his shoulders... Things compounded by the Bride that gave him more than a few introspective thoughts... "I agree... Plus who knows what else I could have wrangled from her?" He said, refusing to let her think on what had happened too long, not wanting that pain to settle into some sort of permanence... Asking then about Hanali, about lovers, all of it... Honestly he felt rotten, more than a bit filthy because of it, and she called him out on it... Just not in the way people might expect. "She has a way of reminding me about things, keeps my head just small enough to fit through the doors and stuff, you know how it swells." He teased lightly, taking her fingers that she rolled over his palm, linking them while his other gently caressed through her hair. " You're more than my Mistress, your my Goddess, my Alpha and my Omega Sydel... Without you? There is no me." Which was the truth. As soon as they had met each other, colliding like two shooting stars, he'd been unable to exist without her. He always sought her out, wished to find her, to be with her... If she wasn't alive? He didn't want to exist. "Yeah, I was chosen this year as consort, and things are going to go absolutely bad-shit nuts when she reveals she's pregnant." He didn't want to do any of it, hell no, but what choice had he had? Sydel had asked him to do something and he had done it... But the echoes of those actions would ring out for some time... "I don't know if I can or not... It might be more tolerable if I bring you along with me... If your there, sharing the bed with me, it doesn't feel like it's cheating..." When she mentioned Hanali and the possible future evolution of emotions? His brows lowered and he caught her chin in his fingers, gently turning her to look at him, keep her eyes locked on him. "There is NOTHING in this word, the next world, or any world in existence that could ever make me love anyone but you. You have my heart Sydel, you always have, and Hanali will never be able to compare... She's plain vanilla, boring and innocent, but you? Your dark chocolate with streams of black cherries and caramel, whipped marshmallows and passion fruit... Your wild, intoxicating and complex, your a crazy mix of everything to drive a mad completely insane... And I love, and have loved, will always love every moment of our insanity." She mentioned her hunting style had changed, which was true she still stalked and killed, but it wasn't like it had been. She was more cautious now, she had a lot more to live for, to protect... Maybe that's what it was... They hadn't gone soft... They just grew up, left Never Never Land, realized there was a whole lot more to life than the next party or the next kill...
"Tell me that.... Let me know when it gets to be too much and we'll go. It doesn't have to be scheduled or anything, we'll just go, head to the surface or anywhere you want... We'll help you find that balance..." He had his here, with her and with Belle, going between Arvandor and the Surface... It suited him, he thrived, but Sydel... She was special, she needed more, and he wanted to give her that. "You do have a place here Princess... Sure everyone has a position that's obvious, but you... You are the person that keeps balance. Arvandor needs predators, to keep the population under control, especially with all the massive population booms that Hanali is pushing forward... She knows Arvandor has Finite resources too... She needs you." Sure, no one would believe it, but for every cute ass crop of bunnies, there are foxes and wolves to eat them. That's why they were, foxes and wolves, they preyed upon Arvandor to keep the scales... Weeding out the weak and the sickly, the rotten and the evil, and it was good... Sydel needed more but at least it was enough to keep her alive here... To sustain her between surface runs... Runs he had every intent on increasing drastically for her... He mentioned the hall of death that Hanali kept, every sinner was there, and that... Well that was her way of explaining without words the role she expected Sydel to keep... After all, for every murder there was a killer, a rotten apple in the bushel... What could be sweeter than killing a good natured creature who had turned to sin? The ideal light corrupted by darkness and greed...
Mentioning Har Ganeth though he gently helped her sit up, hearing her hesitation, shaking his head a bit. "It's an order from Khorn himself... At least according to the bride. I fully plan on going down to Naggoth and double checking myself of course but my mother mentioned it too... In regards to Diovan and the parasite." Naggoth was dangerous but he was used to it, he had enough strength, a high enough standing that most people wouldn't bare break wind in his presence let alone try to kill him... But Har Ganeth was a different creature, and while he wasn't too scared for himself, he seriously doubted anyone there had the power level of Khorne which was needed to take him down... Sydel was a different creature though, she could be killed, she needed to play it cautious... He knew that as well as she did, but right now, right now there wasn't much choice... "I can go by myself... But that would mean you would have to go down to Naggoth and spend time with your father... You have to choose a poison sadly, I don't think there's a way around this, not right now anyways. I was already told that if something isn't done... Khorn will wage war on Arvandor." Again, he didn't think Khorn would attack Arvandor, the realms had remained in peace with each other since the dawn of time, but the bride... How much was the truth? How much was a lie? "The bride might be lying though, it wouldn't be the first one to come through, or the last I'm sure... What are your thoughts on it?"
He'd wait to hear her out before he pulled her into his side so she could lean on him, upright but at least she had support in him, in his firey warmth and rotten black aura... "All that Aside... Grace really is gunning for Jacob again... Seems she's hell bent on bending him under bootheel again... Rose hates her, is aware of it and she's trying to keep him safe, but we both know that's going to be hard. Grace is old and strong, magical wise at least, and I wouldn't put it past her to try and kill Rose just to get Jacob in her pocket... Is there anything you want to do about it? Or just let the kids handle it themselves? Bells says to let him sort it on his own but... She doesn't see evil like we do... She's not aware of how long we lost him to that bitch or what she did to him... I personally want to help Rose get the upper hand... But I don't think Jacob would appreciate me spending time with his lover... Think you want to step in?"
